Meet the team
Tom joined MS Queensland in 2018 and has a Bachelor of Sports Science and a Doctorate of Physiotherapy with over 10 years clinical experience in rehabilitation which has predominantly been in the field of neurology.
He has extensive clinical experience in neurological and progressive neurological conditions and their associated deficits including Functional Neurological Disorder, Multiple sclerosis, Motor neurone disease, Hereditary spastic paraparesis and Parkinson’s disease.
In addition to his work clinically, Tom has also completed and published clinical research specific to rehabilitation. Tom has worked clinically across the public, private and not for profit sector throughout Australian and abroad. Whilst working overseas Tom completed a master’s in international health management at the Imperial College London. He is a previous national committee member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Pain Group and has previously held the Chair position of this APA QLD Branch group.
He wishes to utilise his clinical and professional experience to assist MS Queensland and the profession of physiotherapy to deliver high quality physiotherapy services to clients living with a progressive neurological condition.
Cassandra is an APA Neurological Physiotherapist following her completion in her Masters of Rehabilitation (Neurological Physiotherapy) in 2023 at the Australian Catholic University. She holds a Masters of Physiotherapy from Griffith University, a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in addition to contributing to clinical research associated to the multiple sclerosis population.
Cassandra is also a current committee member of the APA QLD Neurology Branch. Before joining MS Queensland in January 2022, Cassandra has worked across the private practice setting including providing hydrotherapy and mobility equipment prescription. She has a special interest in providing physiotherapy care to people living with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Functional Neurological Disorder, Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy and vestibular dysfunction related to neurological conditions.
Cassandra is a highly enthusiastic and motivated professional who wishes to utilise and continue to optimise the function, symptom management and the quality of life of people living with progressive neurological conditions through the principles of Neurological Physiotherapy.
Stephen graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Otago University in New Zealand and has also completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Clinical Rehabilitation from Flinders University.
He has worked in hospital inpatient rehabilitation and for the last 20 years for MS Queensland in various settings including physiotherapy clinics, telehealth, hydrotherapy, community gyms, home based visits, and specialised disability accommodation.
Stephen’s areas of clinical interest include complex symptom management, higher level mobility and hypertonicity.
Nicki holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) from The University of Queensland.
She enjoys treating individuals with progressive neurological conditions and loves to see the positive impact she can have on her clients.
Nicki understands the importance of providing tailored, evidence-based care and enjoys creating highly customised therapy plans for her clients. Her treatment approach is targeted towards optimising function and improving quality of life in an effective and enjoyable way.
Liam holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours), Griffth University.
Liam is a dedicated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist with a proven track record of accurately assessing the needs of customers and creating appropriate treatment plans to best address their needs.
Liam has a keen interest in neurological and rehabilitation-based physiotherapy and is driven to utilise his skills and experience to optimise function and the quality of life of individuals living with chronic and progressive conditions.
Hargun holds a bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of Queensland.
Hargun has experience in assessing and providing individualised effective treatments to a variety of patients with brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions. He is skilled in managing patients in rehabilitation in addition to the acute hospital settings, within the orthopaedics, cardiothoracic, respiratory, and surgical wards.
With a strong interest in applying health technology across various patient populations, Hargun is committed to using his skills to maximise patient outcomes and improve their quality of life.
Jane has a PhD and Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland.
Jane brings a great wealth of clinical knowledge, skill and experience in multiple fields of physiotherapy having worked 20 years in both clinical practice and as an academic throughout Australia and the United States.
Jane is a highly motivated professional who strives to incorporate the latest evidence-based care and research to optimise function and improve the quality of life of people she treats.
