As a specialist provider, MS Queensland is proud to support local jobseekers and employers under the Australian Government’s new disability employment program, Inclusive Employment Australia, commencing 1 November 2025.

As part of the national CoAct network, MS Queensland will deliver specialised, tailored employment services for people with disability, injury or health conditions as a result of a neurological condition like multiple sclerosis (MS), motor neuron disease (MND), Parkinsons, epilepsy, dementia or stroke. This service is focused on supporting people to find and keep a job, creating meaningful and sustainable employment outcomes across many communities across Queensland. MS Queensland will now deliver employment services in Bundaberg, Fraser Coast, Gladstone, Townsville, Mackay, Cairns, North Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, South Brisbane, Logan and Gold Coast.

Replacing the current Disability Employment Services (DES) program, Inclusive Employment Australia represents a shift toward a more personalised, community-focused approach championing choice and control for jobseekers and enhancing engagement with local employers to drive inclusive hiring practices.

As Australia’s leading network of not-for-profit community service providers, CoAct was awarded delivery of the Inclusive Employment Australia contract nationally, ensuring consistent, community-driven employment support across Australia with CoAct’s broad national reach.

Simon Brown, CoAct CEO, said CoAct’s partnership approach delivers a co-designed, person-centred model that offers flexible and intensive support, specialised staff, and smart technology to improve both jobseeker and employer experiences.

“Our co-designed model brings together deep local knowledge, specialist expertise, and lived experience to deliver high-quality services tailored to the diverse needs of jobseekers and employers across Australia,” Mr Brown said.

“As our network continues to grow, so does our shared vision of building communities where everyone can reach their potential through meaningful and sustainable work.”

A key feature of the new Inclusive Employment Australia program is its commitment to engaging a broader and more diverse range of specialist providers, who bring deep expertise in supporting people with specific disability types and health conditions. This approach recognises that no two jobseekers are the same – and that sustainable employment outcomes are best achieved when services are personalised, inclusive, and built around the lived experiences of participants.

As a specialist provider, David Curd, CEO MS Queensland said MS Queensland is proud to be part of the CoAct network to deliver disability employment services, supporting the Queensland community through the Inclusive Employment Australia program from November.

“In partnership with CoAct, we’re proud to expand our employment services into additional regions across Queensland, so more people living with neurological conditions can access the support they need in their own communities. With one in four Queenslanders living with a neuro condition, our specialised service will equip our community with tailored support and stronger connections to inclusive employment opportunities.”

Together with CoAct, MS Queensland looks forward to continuing its mission of empowering people with disability to achieve their employment goals, while working closely with local employers to build more inclusive, diverse, and resilient workplaces across many communities across Queensland from the Gold Coast through to Cairns.
