World MS Day 2026
Each year on 30 May, communities around the world mark World MS Day – it’s a special moment for our global community to come together, share stories, and shine a light on the realities of what it’s like to live with MS.
This year’s theme My MS Diagnosis, brings attention to the often‑complex journey of receiving an MS diagnosis. It’s about recognising the challenges, delays, and obstacles people often face when navigating their diagnosis – and highlighting just how important clarity and support are at every step. This year, we’re focusing on the importance of understanding, early support and the right care at the right time — so no one feels they are navigating diagnosis alone.
While World MS Day is officially marked on Saturday 30 May, we have arranged virtual and physical events and activities across Queensland to take place throughout May.

Research Study: Understanding Your MS Diagnostic Journey
Your experience can help improve the MS diagnosis journey for others.
The Understanding Your MS Diagnostic Journey study invites people living with MS to share their diagnosis story through an anonymous online survey. By reflecting on your own experience, you can help researchers better understand where delays, challenges and gaps can occur — and how diagnosis pathways can be improved to be clearer, faster and more compassionate.
The survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete and offers a meaningful way to contribute to research that supports improved MS care.
This study is conducted by The University of Queensland and supported by MS Queensland.
